Dr Robyn Haisman-Welsh

Robyn has an extensive professional background in dentistry, oral health and health. Robyn has held senior public sector roles in the New Zealand Ministry of Health, including as Chief Dental Officer. She has gained significant experience in national leadership, public health and wider health, strategic and operational leadership, governance, policy, and risk management.

Robyn also has experience in overseeing major health service improvements, in leading and project managing large national population surveys, and improving and promoting health through public health initiatives and policies. Her broad research experience includes understanding and using health research, literature reviews to inform public health policy, and translating research into policy and action.

Robyn has built strong relationships and credibility with a broad range of national and international stakeholders and has a proven ability to lead and work in partnership with individuals and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve best outcomes including in public and highly politicised environments.
