Dr Kirsten Lovelock

Kirsten has extensive experience as a  mixed method applied researcher and evaluator who has worked in partnership with various agencies in the public sector and researchers in the tertiary sector. Kirsten has a demonstrated track record of developing, leading and implementing complex research projects and programs and evaluation of interventions and policy implementation.

Kirsten’s areas of expertise are occupational and environmental health, health policy and services, labour relations, tourism, migration and applied ethics. She is an experienced evaluator, including employing kaupapa Māori methodology. Kirsten has more than 76 peer reviewed publications, has strong local, national and international networks and is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of communities.

In addition to her Allen + Clarke role, Kirsten is an Honorary Senior Fellow in the Department of Public Health at the University of Otago (Wellington).
