Doug Hancock

Doug is a Senior Consultant with extensive experience within the public sector. He has experience of all stages of the policy cycle and has led the development of both primary and secondary legislation. He has enjoyed leading on policy challenges ranging from Land Transport Rules to gambling operational policy to youth development to privacy reform. He has also been a Vetter of public policy proposals and draft Bills for consistency with human rights obligations.

Doug has a strong interest in international development and has volunteered his policy and legal experience in countries such as Tanzania. Most recently, he was a Parliamentary Committees Advisor working with the House of Representative in the post-conflict Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

Doug enjoys working with decision makers and affected communities to find sustainable solutions to complex policy issues.
